As some of you already know Barb is a gardener. And over the seven years that we’ve lived in Florida she has Built out our garden space to accommodate a lot of different varieties of edible plants. This vegetable growing year, which for us ends in June, we grew a couple of varieties of beans, eggplant, peppers, herbs, Lettuce, radishes, onions and most importantly TOMATOES! We had over 7 months of fresh from the garden tomatoes! and so much that we give quite a lot away.
But the fruit season is just ramping up and I wanted to highlight our existing varieties as well as announce a few new ones that are just starting to produce this year.
Let’s start with whats new.

Although papayas Aren’t new to our garden we’ve added some variety. All these varieties were grown by us from seeds(its amazing how fast a papaya tree grows) that were collected by us or friends. The newest fruit to produce is our Jamaican cherry tree, also known as the “cotton candy” tree. You can imagine what that taste like.
Now lets talk what happening with other fruits.
